Chhattisgarh Chief Election Commissioner Subrat Sahu on Tuesday met various representatives of the regional and national political parties in connection with the impending Lok Sabha elections in April. As the Model Code of Conduct is enforced all the political parties had been given a detailed programme of the General Elections. The Chief Election Officer gave a detailed presentation the Model Code of Conduct for all the participating parties, electoral expenditure and MobileApps for the smooth conduct of elections and close co-ordination between the candidates, authorities and common citizens.

Chief Election Officer Mr. Subrat Sahu said that   the first phase of polls will be held for the Bastar Lok Sabha seat on 1th April. In the second phase elections will be held for Kanker, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund LokSabha seats on 18th April. In the third phase General elections will be conducted for Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba Raigarh and Surguja seats.

Vinod Tiwari to direct a movie titled ‘Prayagraj’

After his maiden venture ‘Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle’ as a director in Bollywood, Vinod Tiwari is all set for his second outing. The filmmaker will be helming the project titled ‘Prayagraj’, based on the most celebrated Kumbh. Bollywood has seen several projects where Kumbh is mentioned and talked about but none shows the festival of faith as the central subject.
Vinod Tiwari is ready to embark on a journey which will showcase Kumbh as the main plot. The filmmaker took the divine bathe in the holy Sangam river this year on February 24 during Kumbh festival in Prayagraj. And that’s when he decided to make a movie on it.


Tiwari’s last movie ‘Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle’ starred Krushna Abhishek, Rajneesh Duggal, Nazia Hussain and Mukul Dev in lead roles.


Coming back to his new movie, the film will be shot completely in and around Prayagraj. The filmmaker expressed his happiness about starting the project. He said, “I feel great happiness and immense pleasure in announcing my new project which is based on Kumbh. The religious festival helps in promoting and preserving our Hindu traditions and culture across the globe.”


In other news, buzz was also strong about Tiwari directing a biopic on ace comedian Kapil Sharma. It was reported that in the biopic, lead character will be played by Krushna Abhishek.

Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday launched Suraji village scheme at Backward Classes and Kisan Sammelans organized in village Jarnah of Mungeli district. Under this scheme, laying of rosettes in 15 places of the district is also done.

While addressing the rally, he said that a rich state of Chhattisgarh will be formed when the farmers will have a happy life. The government is taking many decisions in the direction of the farmers to give their produce the right price and unemployed. Surajji Village Scheme has been launched to strengthen the cultivation of farmers in the villages. He said that the government has waived loans of Rs. 10 thousand crore for 20 lakh farmers for the release of farmers from debt trap. These include six thousand crore through co-operative society and rural banks and short-term agricultural loans from nationalized banks.

The Chief Minister said that in the country, Chhattisgarh farmers are the first state to purchase paddy in 2500 rupees per quintal. Our government will now give 35 kg of rice to every family instead of seven kg of rice per person. Similarly, the electricity bill up to 400 units will be half. The benefits will be started by consumers from March 2019. The Chief Minister also released the calendar published by Chhattisgarh Apex on this occasion.

Raipur.Chhattisgarh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has unleashed large number of employment opportunities for youth of the state through open recruitment. Chief Minister has announced recruitment on 40% vacant posts of Assistant Professor in government colleges of the state through Public Service Commission. In the same sequence, 1384 Assistant Professors of 27 subjects are being recruited in the state. Likewise, School Education Department is also going to recruit 15 thousand teachers. Recruitment on 35 posts of CMO, 17 posts of Ayurvedic lecturer, 10 posts of Assistant Director in Department of planning and economic statistics and 39 posts of civil judge is already in process.

Likewise, Directorate Health Services has initiated recruitment of 788 staff nurse. This includes recruitment on 238 posts in Raipur Division, 128 posts in Bilaspur Division, 210 posts in Sarguja Division and 212 posts in Bastar Division.


Likewise, Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board is also processing the recruitment on 424 posts of various departments. Next month recruitment examinations for 506 posts would be held. Seminar on ‘Challenges of Fake News in the Current Scenario’

Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that presently, fake news is not only affecting Chhattisgarh, but is a matter of grave concern for the entire country and the world. Earlier fake news were published only during Holi festival as a prank or joke, but now fake news has become a business. It has become a medium of defaming, provoking violence and winning elections, but now we need to understand that how far the news items can be considered as truth.

Chief  Minister said aforementioned words in his address to the seminar eld in Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Evam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalay, Raipur, on topic ‘Challenges of Fake News in current scenario’. He said- it is extremely said that our educated youth are getting affected by the fake news the most. A major reason behind this is that the youth no more reads newspaper and rather look on social media for news. Chief Minister praised prestigious media houses such as BBC for fighting against fake news. He extended hearty wishes for this movement of mass awareness. He advised citizens, especially youth to inquire and go in depth of the reported news, instead of believing what they see at first glance.

Chief Minister said that it is because of those misleading advertisements, citizens of the state lost a whopping Rs 10 thousand crore to chit fund companies in state. They kept advertizing misleading offers and their events marked presence of political people, which further helped them fool the people. This matter was politicized to a great extent, but what concerned me more is that that amount swallowed by chit fund companies included parents’ saving for daughter’s wedding, children’s education, pension money and some even had sold their property to get the amount to invest. We need to be careful about believing just any other advertisement we see.

Keynote speaker of the seminar was Prof (Dr.) Mukesh Kuman, Dean, Faculty of Mass Communication SGT University Gurgaon, told that fake news is spread to manipulate sentiments of people to provoke violence, disturbance and hatred among communities. It is important to promote media literacy in present time. Cyber Law Expert, New Delhi Virag Gupta and Editor of Digital BBC Hindi New Delhi Rajesh Priyadarshi also addressed the seminar, considering fake news trend as epidemic, which is needed to be controlled at all cost.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. (Dr.) MS Parmar, while presiding over the programme said that technology and words are the tools that may be used for development or for destruction. Constitution of India has given us the freedom of speech and expression. If the current era of information technology promotes violence, communalism and radicalism, it should be stopped and controlled.
