New Delhi: BJP President Amit Shah is on a tour of Assam. Shah paid tribute to 40 soldiers in the attack on the convoy of Central Reserve Police Force in Pulwama, Jammu on Thursday. Shah addressing a rally here, said that the BJP sitting in the center will not allow Assam to become second Kashmir and for this reason the National Civil Registration (NRC) has been brought. He said that NRC has been introduced to identify intruders and the BJP will send relief from Assam by sending such foreign or other nationals here.
Criticizing the Opposition Congress and its former allies Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) at the Center, Shah said that after the signing of the agreement in 1985, the two parties had nothing to do with implementing the Assam Accord. Done Addressing the conference, BJP President Amit Shah said, “I pay homage to Assam’s son Maneshwar Basuetari and other CRPF personnel. Their sacrifice will not go in vain, because at the center it is not the Congress government. This is BJP.”
While addressing the gathering, he said that the Narendra Modi government will fight against all forms of terrorism. He also said that the BJP-led government is committed to the development of Assam. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Hemant Biswa Sarma were also present in the convention. In the conference Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stressed that the good works of the Narendra Modi government should be spread to the grassroots level. Assam’s senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed hope that the BJP will show good results in the coming Lok Sabha elections in the state.
