New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the politics of caste in the country and said that the division in the country is not right in the name of caste. He said that Sant Ravidas also opposed this. Describing the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as important, it will be the first time that 21st Century Youth will use its franchise.
Addressing the 52nd edition of the Monthly Manifesto of Manean, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India is the land of saints. Our saints have given message of harmony, equality and social empowerment through their thoughts and actions. One such Saint is the birth anniversary of Ravidas on February 19th. He said that Saint Ravidas used to give bigger messages than big through a few lines. He said that human beings have also been divided into castes and there is no human being.
If indeed God is in every human being, then it is not fair to share them on caste, creed and other social grounds. He said that this year our Lok Sabha election will be held in our country this year, where 21st Century-born youth will use their votes in the Lok Sabha elections. He called the youth-generation and said that if they are eligible to vote, then be sure to register yourself as a voter. Each of us should realize that to be a voter in the country, to get the right to vote, it is a significant stop in the important achievements of life. It is my duty to vote together, that spirit should flourish within us. He said that being a voter and using our franchise should be a matter of pride for us. Modi, while praising the students and scientists, said that “Kalam Satellite” created by our students will write a new message in space.
