Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that Baba Guru Ghasidas showed the path of truth, nonviolence, love, and brotherhood to humanity. His biggest message inspires to keep all the societies in one form, ‘Maneke-Mankhe Ek samaan’. The Chief Minister was addressing the celebration of the Chief Guest in Bhilai organized by the official-employee board of Satnami society. In the program, officials and employees of Satnami society welcomed the Chief Minister by wearing the white turban in accordance with social tradition. The Chief Minister wished the prosperity of the state by worshiping at Satnam Bhawan.
While addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the development of all sections after following the path stated by Baba Guru Ghasidas. He said that whatever promises the government has made to the people, it must be completed. In the program, representatives of society submitted a demand letter to the Chief Minister The Chief Minister assured to sympathetically consider his demands.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was weighed in ‘Til ke laddu’ on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti at Pujari Park in the capital today. He greeted the citizens of the State and wished them a bright and prosperous future ahead. The peopled fed the Chief Minister with the sweet. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Daharia, MLAs Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, Bruhaspath Singh and Mrs. Anita Sharma were also present.
Chief Minister said that no hut will be shifted or demolished. He assured the gathering that clean drinking water will be supplied in all the areas and extra land will be allocated to the Government College. The District Collector had been ordered to provide the land as early as possible. The State Government had been taking decisions keeping in mind interests of all sections of the society. The farmers’ loans had been waived and Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy had been fixed at Rs 2, 500 a quintal. The State Government will fulfill all the promises of ‘jan goshna Patra’ (people’s manifesto). Property Tax and electricity bill had been reduced to half. He appealed to the citizens to pay Property Tax and Electricity Bill.
Mr. Bupesh Baghel said that prohibition will be imposed in phases. Liquor is a social evil. The society should also come forward for banning alcohol. There is a need for creating awareness among the masses. Opinion of all sections of the society will be elicited. A study team will be dispatched to the States where prohibition is in force. Mr. Baghel said that S.I.T. teams will probe ‘Jheerum’ incident and ‘PDS’ scam. Registration of five decimal plots had been started. F.I.Rs filed against chit fund companies will be withdrawn. The money of the working classes will be returned to them. Dr. Shiv Daharia said that the Government belonged to the native Chhattisgarhias. The authorities will focus on all-round development. Large number of citizens, corporators and people’s representatives were also present.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today greeted the citizens of the State on the auspicious occasion of Jayanti of the great philosopher and social reformer Swami Vivekanand on 12th January celebrated as ‘National Youth Day’. In a message released on the eve of Vivekanand Jayanti, Chief Minister said that he was a great thinker and a noble soul who guided the entire universe on a righteous path.
The citizens of the State should be proud that the legendary saint lived for sometime in the capital city Raipur. Mr. Baghel called upon the people to imbibe the values of the saint and work for the building of the State and the nation.
