On Thursday, the Communist Party of India (CPI) rejected rumors not to support the candidature from the Rashtriya Janata Party (BJD) leader Begusarai seat of Kanhaiya Kumar, the leader of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). For the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the Communist Party of India (CPI) has decided to field Kanhaiya Kumar from the Begusarai Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. After this, it was reported that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will not support Kanhaiya Kumar’s candidature from Begusarai Lok Sabha seat. But now the Communist Party of India (CPI) has completely dismissed these rumors.
Elections will also fight after the charge sheet
Kanhaiya Kumar is accused of indulging in anti-trafficking slogans inside the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in 2016 and organizing programs against Afzal Guru’s hanging. Regarding the case, Delhi Police filed a charge sheet against several people including Kanhaiya Kumar. The Communist Party of India (CPI) cleared the matter and said that even after filing charge sheet against Kanhaiya Kumar, he will contest from Begusarai seat.
